Arabian Rockbits & Drilling Tools Company Limited ARDT, also known as Halliburton Drill Bits & Services HDBS, has been in the Rock bit manufacturing business since the year 1981. It is a Joint Venture enterprise between Al Rushaid Investment Company and Halliburton Drill Bits & Services – USA.

Located at #109 Yanboo Street, 2nd Industrial City, Dammam, Saudi Arabia, this was the first and only Rock bit manufacturing company in the middle-east. From the day of its inception in 1980 and commencement of production the following year, we have committed ourselves to the supply of top-quality indigenously manufactured drilling tools to the petroleum industry in Saudi Arabia. After 32 Safety & Quality–conscious years, we have achieved this goal with tremendous success and made great in-roads in the Gas, Oil, Work-Over and the Water-Well Industries, managed & operated by Saudi ARAMCO. Since the start of production in September 1981 our company has progressively added different types and sizes of Rockbits ranging from 4-3/4” thru 28”. Fixed Cutter (FC) Bits was added to this list of products in the year 1989.

ARDT/HDBS is certified for ISO 9001:2008, API Q1 and Certificate of Authority to use the official API Monogram. Established safety norms are also practiced to ensure our workers safety at every level in the manufacturing process.

1998 brought in a new era for ARDT/HDBS. The Fixed Cutter Refurbishing Facility was introduced to expand its operations. New machinery were erected, existing infrastructure improved and specialized training was provided to our staff, by HDBS - USA, with the additional commitment from them, to provide full Research & Development and Technical Assistance, following the expansion of the factory.

Today we supply Roller Cone, FC Bits and Refurbish FC bits that meet the highest Quality Standards, at the most competitive prices and deliver them on time, to every customer in-need. As in the past we will continue to provide the industry with high performance drilling tools and also strive to improve & surpass the existing standards and offer our best services at all times.
